Former Medicare Chief Andy Slavitt Formally Launches Town Hall Ventures To Invest In Health Care
Andy Slavitt, the former administrator of the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS)—and vide president of Optum—recently launched the Town Hall Ventures firm. The venture investment firm aims to utilize technology in order to invest in and improve the U.S. health care market.
Joining Mr. Slavitt are Oxeon Holdings founder Trevor Price, as well as David Whelan, the managing general partner of Oxeon Ventures. The firm will particularly seek to focus on underserved lower-income communities, who often experience much poorer health outcomes than others.
