Franklin County, Illinois, Joins Jail-Based Competency Restoration Mental Health Pilot

The Franklin County, Illinois, jail is preparing to launch an onsite mental health competency restoration pilot program for detainees waiting for an open bed at a state forensic hospital program, according to a local news report. The pilot is part of a partnership between the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association, the Illinois Department of Human Services, and Centerstone, which will provide mental health services at the jail.
