Funding Woes Force Closure Mental Health America In Beaumont

Due to a lack of funding, Mental Health America chapter in Beaumont has closed leaving people in need of guidance for mental health issues without an identifiable resource for help. Mental Health America operated on local private donations as do all of the national organization’s chapters. The national group does not participate in funding and focuses mainly on public policy and legislation. Mental Health America is donating its furniture to Court Appointed Special Advocate of Southeast Texas and to Some Other Place.
