Georgia Department Of Juvenile Justice Names New General Counsel
The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice named Cindy Wang as its new general counsel (GC). As GC, Wang oversees legal services for the department, such as employment issues. She also helps to develop legislation and policy and serves as the agency's ethics officer. Wang became the GC for the department on August 3, 2015, replacing Tracy Masters, who retired after holding the position since 2011. There are 52,000 youths under the department's supervision, including those in detention and on probation.
