Gibson General Hospital Ending Operations Of Long-Term Care Facility
Gibson General Hospital, Inc. (Gibson) recently announced it is ending operations of its long-term care and skilled nursing facility beginning June 30. According to a news release from the hospital, the main reason for the closure is a lack of regional need for such services.
Located on the hospital’s 5th floor, Gibson anticipates that the closure of the 45-bed unit will bolster the four remaining long-term care facilities in the county.
