Harrisburg Academy Names John Binnert As New Administrator

Harrisburg Academy has named a veteran teacher and administrator as its new head of middle school and upper school and new international baccalaureate coordinator. John Binnert begins in his position on July 8 for the 2016-17 school year. He comes to Harrisburg Academy from the Georgiana Bruce Kirby Preparatory School in Santa Cruz, Calif., where he was director of professional development and mentoring and served as instructional technology coordinator and mathematics department chair and teacher. He also has taught at California State University, Colegio Internacional de Caracas in Venezuela and Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School in New Mexico.
