Hartford HealthCare To Acquire St. Vincent’s From Ascension

Hartford HealthCare recently announced it is acquiring Ascension’s St. Vincent’s Medical Center, which is based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Ascension anticipates that the acquisition will allow St. Vincent’s to provide safer and higher quality health care to members of the Bridgeport and Fairfield County community.

St. Vincent’s is home to a 473-bed community teaching hospital, as well as a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility—amongst other services. Through the acquisition, Hartford HealthCare looks forward to providing even broader access to the care St. Vincent’s provides to Fairfield County residents.
