Hawaii’s Queens Health System To Buy Psychiatric Hospital From Sutter  

Hawaii-based Queen's Health System reached an agreement with Sutter Health to buy Kahi Mohala psychiatric hospital, located in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Terms of the deal for the 88-bed facility were not disclosed. ;

Kahi Mohala opened in 1988. It provides care for adults and children, and is the only standalone, non-profit psychiatric hospital in Hawaii.  

The acquisition plan was first announced in 2022. Queens said it would offer;employment to Kahi Mohala’s 250 staff as part of the deal.;
