Health Care Service Corporation To Acquire Trustmark Health Benefits

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) signed a definitive agreement with Trustco Holdings, Inc. (Trustmark) to purchase its wholly owned subsidiary, Trustmark Health Benefits (Health Benefits), a third-party administrator of health benefits. HCSC anticipates that the acquisition will give it additional capabilities to serve a broader set of customers seeking customizable and flexible health benefit solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close later in 2022. Health Benefits will continue to support its existing employers and members with the same level of service following the acquisition.
