Health Resources & Services Administration Awards $200 Million For Opioid Abuse, Behavioral Health Services
Continuing the trend of organizations receiving funding to battle the opioid crisis, the Health Resources and Services Administration has awarded $200 million in grants to assist communities in combatting opioid abuse. 1,178 health centers and 13 rural health organizations throughout the entire country will have the funds divided among them.
Rural states, which face higher cases of opioid abuse, will receive an additional $3.3 million for supporting programs that help deal with the unique challenges facing individuals in more remote areas.
