Health Systems To Dissolve Home Health Partnership

The three Pennsylvania-based health systems that join to make up Affilia Home Health—Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine (LG Health), UPMC Pinnacle (UPMC), and Tower Health—recently announced they will be splitting up their home health care network. The split—which was described as amicable—is expected to take effect as of January 1.

It is not anticipated that the split will cause any people to lose their jobs or lose their access to health care. According to statements from Tower Health’s CEO, the decision to split reflects each organization’s desire to meet their own individual goals . . .
