Hospital Adds Two New Programs For Those Suffering With PTSD, Mood Disorders
Beginning this month, Rogers Memorial Hospital will add two new programs to serve individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders.
The two new programs will be added in addition to the hospital’s existing programs, which focus on treating obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety, and eating disorders. Beginning March 12, a partial hospitalization program is available for people with PTSD that will combine cognitive behavioral therapy and prolong exposure therapy in order to reduce fears related to trauma. It is estimated that about 8 million Americans are living with PTSD.
