Hospital Corporation Of America Finalizes Acquisition Of Tomball Regional Medical Center

Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) acquired the Tomball Regional Medical Center (TRMC) in Texas. Included in the acquisition are nine locations of Affinity Medical Associates and the Affinity Emergency Center at Magnolia.

In a statement, TRMC noted that it had been searching for a health care partnership before choosing HCA, citing HCA's similar culture of high-quality and community-based services as the rationale for its final decision. TRMC will retain its name after the transition. With the acquisition of  TRMC, HCA has purchased a total of four hospitals in the Greater Houston area this summer.
