Intermountain Launches At-Home Clinical Services

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Intermountain Healthcare recently announced it is adding home-based clinical care to the list of services it provides. The new offerings will include palliative care for consumers with chronic conditions, primary care, and a number of hospital-level services.

The goal of the new services—which are anticipated to begin in the coming months—is to prevent or shorten hospital admissions, as well as to avoid hospital readmissions. This would be accomplished by ensuring that more health care consumers have the option of receiving care in their own homes.
