Lawrence Medical Center in rural Moulton, Alabama, and the Huntsville Hospital Health System (HH Health) announced a partnership in which LMC will close its emergency department and adopt an outpatient-only model. The LMC Board made the decision after studying challenges and financial pressures facing the 98-bed facility constructed in 1953.
