LifeCare Hospitals To Close, Displacing 122 Workers
Pennsylvania-based LifeCare Hospitals (LifeCare) of Mechanicsburg recently announced it is closing, the result of which will displace 122 workers. According to statements from a company spokesperson, the layoffs will take effect on September 10.
LifeCare anticipates that the individuals it sees will be able to complete recovery before the closing of the facility, but is prepared to help people transition care if needed. LifeCare Holdings, Inc., LifeCare’s parent company, filed for bankruptcy in 2012, and was acquired by Hospital Acquisition LLC.
