LifePoint Health, RCCH HealthCare Partners Announce Merger Plans

Tennessee-based LifePoint Health and RCCH HealthCare Partners (RHHC) recently signed an agreement to merge. The resulting joint entity will have a combined $8 billion in revenue.

Specifically, the merger will see Apollo Global Management—which owns RCCH—acquiring LifePoint for a cost of $5.6 billion. The resulting health system from the acquisition will operate as LifePoint and include 84 hospitals across a span of 30 states, as well as about 7,000 clinical professionals and 24,000 licensed beds.
