Maple Leaf Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Treatment Center Files For Bankruptcy
Vermont's Maple Leaf Treatment Center has filed for bankruptcy giving no specific reason; however, staffing and financing were factors considered when the board discussed the future of the non-profit service organization. This follows a 30-day, self-imposed closure following staffing issues, and rising costs and strain resulting from the recent opiate addiction crisis in the state.
