Maplewood Senior Living To Use AI-Enabled Robots To Facilitate Telemedicine Visits With Residents
Connecticut-based Maplewood Senior Living is partnering with Advanced Telemedicine Group to launch a pilot program using artificial intelligence (AI) -enabled Temi robots to enhance the accessibility and quality of geriatric care via telemedicine visits. Under the partnership, Maplewood Senior Living recently conducted its first robot-assisted geriatric consultation, in collaboration with Kathleen Rogers, chief of geriatric services at Cleveland Clinic Akron General.;
Temi robots can be controlled remotely by a physician and are equipped with medical peripherals, including stethoscopes, pulse oximeters, and blood pressure cuffs.; The physician can “drive” the Temi robot to a consumer’s apartment . . .
