Mark Stringer Named Director For The Department Of Mental Health Of Missouri

The Missouri Mental Health Commission announced the appointment of Mark Stringer as new Director for the Department of Mental Health (DMH). He was appointed by Governor Jay Nixon. He has been in the mental health field for more than 28 years and served on the DMH team for 16 years in various roles, including having been the DMH Director for the Division of Behavioral Health for the last eight years. Stringer is replacing the retiring Keith Schafer. He will begin his new role and responsibilities with DMH on July 1, 2015.
