Maryland Department Of Health Launches Program For Youth With Addiction
The Maryland Department of Health partnered with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services to open a 15-bed residential substance use disorder treatment for minors program. The program is based in Baltimore City. ;
It offers inpatient treatment for state residents under the age of 21. Services include 24-hour medical monitoring and evaluation, addiction treatment services, family treatment, interventions for recovery and relapse prevention, and reintegration into the community. ;
Montgomery County is overseeing the program. It is funded by both Maryland’s Opioid Restitution Fund and Montgomery County’s Opioid Abatement Funds.;
