Massachusetts’ New England Sinai Hospital To Close In 2024
Stoughton, Massachusetts-based New England Sinai Hospital, owned by Steward Health Care, is set to close by early April. In a notice to the state of Massachusetts, the rehabilitation hospital said it will relocate its consumers to nearby skilled nursing facilities.
Steward Health said the decision was related to financial challenges, as well as low Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rates. It will place affected employees at other company hospitals in the state.
Texas-based Steward said there are 820 vacancies at other Steward Health facilities in Massachusetts. The organization operates 33 hospitals in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania . . .
