Massachusetts Suspends Medicaid Enrollment In Commonwealth Care Alliance MCO
MassHealth, the Massachusetts Medicaid agency, suspended the Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA) from taking on new enrollees in November 2024 as the insurer faces ongoing multi-million-dollar operating losses. The Disability Policy Consortium (DPS) has called on the state to place CCA into temporary receivership to ensure that the organization's services are available to state residents. MassHealth is monitoring CCA’s financial situation.
