MassHousing To Expand Affordable Housing For Homeless
The Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (MassHousing) has awarded $385,000 for affordable sober housing and support services for those who are formerly homeless or in recovery. The money will help create or renovate sober housing in six Franklin County communities, and support organizations working with people in recovery to avoid homelessness in the greater Boston area.
Funding will be used for facility purchases, facility renovation, new hires, and support purposes. Groups receiving grants include:
Casa Esperanza: $25,000
Community Healthlink, Inc.: $14,470
Father Bills and Mainspring: $75,000
Lowell House, Inc.: $75,000
