McLeod Health Plans New $45 Million Hospital In Cheraw, South Carolina  

South Carolina-based McLeod Health is building a new hospital in the city of Cheraw, expected to cost $45 million. The company said the facility will be constructed on existing McLeod Health Cheraw property. It will replace an existing facility that was built in 1980.  

McLeod assumed operation of the facility in 2015, and it has leased the property from the owner since that time. It plans to purchase the existing hospital and property for $5.8 million.  

Construction on the new hospital is expected to begin in 2024 or 2025. McLeod said . . .
