Medicaid and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina recently announced they will be imposing new limits on the length of opioid prescriptions. Specifically, consumers in South Carolina will be limited to 5- or seven-day supplies of pain killers.

BlueCross Blueshield commercial and Medicaid plans cover more than two-thirds of the state’s population.
