Mental Health & Diversion Center Set To Open In Miami  

Miami-Dade County in Florida is preparing to open the Miami Center for Mental Health and Recovery, a 208-bed facility. The facility will be owned by the State of Florida and leased to Miami-Dade County. It will provide living, clinical, recreation, and vocational classroom spaces geared to keeping people with mental illnesses out of county jails. The goal is to provide an alternative to incarceration.
