Merger Closes Between Children’s Hospital of Orange County & Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego

Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego (Rady Children’s) closed a previously announced merger between their parent companies on December 31, 2024. The merger created a new combined health care system called Rady Children’s Health. The merged organization is led by co-CEOs Kimberly Chavalas Cripe, formerly president and CEO of CHOC, and Patrick A. Frias, MD, formerly president and CEO of Rady Children’s.
