Swimmer Michael Phelps Joins Board Of Medibio, A Behavioral Health Medical Technology Company

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps has joined the board of Autralian-based Medibio, a behavioral health medical technology company. The company has developed a new technology to help diagnose behavioral health disorders such as depression and chronic stress.

Mr. Phelps was appointed to the board on June 5, 2017. While his focus has been bringing awareness to the sport and anti-doping, Mr. Phelps has recently begun advocating for behavioral health in general. Mr. Phelps was also recently named the honorary chairperson of National Mental Health Awareness Day 2017 by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
