Microsoft’s video platform, Teams, is integrating with electronic health record (EHR) software to facilitate telehealth visits. The new Microsoft Teams EHR connector will allow clinical professionals and consumers to launch a virtual visit or consult with another health care professional in Teams directly from their EHR system.

As of September 22, 2020, the Teams EHR connector was in private preview. The first integration will be with the Epic EHR, and Teams will be available in the Epic App Orchard later in 2020. Microsoft plans to support additional EHR systems soon.
