Minnesota Nonprofit Seeks $9 Million To Expand Job-Training Facility
Project for Pride in Living (PPL) is raising $9 million to build a job-training facility for low-income individuals. The Chicago-based training center will train and certify these individuals to be able to receive jobs that pay $15 an hour, or higher.
Also included in the effort is a $3 million investment in housing, technology, and other upgrades, which PPL hopes will help it continue to expand employment and housing for those in need. PPL helps more than 3,500 clients on an annual basis, 700 of which are job seekers.
