Minnesota’s Lake Region Healthcare Set To Close Inpatient Mental Health Unit  

Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) is planning to close its Bridgeway inpatient Behavioral Health unit in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. A public hearing before the closure, required under state statute, was held February 21.;;

LRH said it had seen a significant reduction in demand for services, which led to reduced admissions, with an average of 3 of 14 beds in the unit occupied. It also cited an inability to recruit permanent physician coverage.; LRH said its outpatient mental health services are not impacted by the closure.;;
