MIT Launches Alana Down Syndrome Center
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) recently announced the launch of a Down syndrome research center, which is anticipated to be one of the largest ever to focus on the disorder. The new facility will come with the help of the $28.6 million MIT recently received from the Alana Foundation for the creation of the center, named the Alana Down Syndrome Center.
The new facility will further efforts to expand knowledge and understanding about the neuroscience of Down syndrome, as well as work to develop new interventions and technologies that can improve the quality of life for people living . . .
