Montana Releases Draft 1115 Demonstration For Medicaid Expansion Work Requirements
On July 18, 2025, the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) issued a preliminary Section 1115 demonstration proposal seeking approval for work requirements targeting adults enrolled in expanded Medicaid coverage. DPHHS is seeking a five-year approval of the demonstration. It intends to implement the waiver as soon as implementation is possible if it receives federal approval.
