Montana To Provide $600,000 To Five I/DD Support Organizations To Train & Certify Direct Support Professional Workforce
Montana Governor Greg Gianforte announced an investment of up to $600,000 to strengthen the state’s direct support professional (DSP) workforce for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). Through this initiative the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) will provide one-time grants to five service providers for DSPs to become certified, and to sponsor access to training for health care professionals and behavioral health staff working with state residents with I/DD.
