Montefiore Implements Valera Behavioral Health Care App For Smartphones

Montefiore has implemented the Valera Health smartphone app and platform for its behavioral health care consumers. The new smartphone app shows improved health outcomes for consumers with depression and anxiety.

Valera supports integrated behavioral health care by engaging the consumer through two-way messaging, tailored educational content, appointment reminders, and automated self-assessments. The platform alerts care managers to any perceived condition changes that may prompt intervention. The app is being provided to those Bronx, NY consumers who receive collaborative medical and behavioral health care at five Montefiore primary care sites.
