MOVIA Robotics, Inc. rolled out the new TheraPal Home and TheraPal Clinical Assist Aide robots to hep children with autism and other intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) improve their social and emotional development. The rollout also included TheraPal Progress software for clinical professionals and parents to collect data on children’s progress using the robots. The robots come with modules for cognitive training, communication training, and educational learning. Children can practice social skills, and can work on improving their reading comprehension, basic math skills, and auditory processing learning.
MOVIA Robotics was founded in in 2010. The company’s goal is to provide its robot-assisted instruction systems to schools, clinics, and families to improve quality of life for people diagnosed with autism and other I/DD.
