National CASA/GAL Cuts To State & Local Grantee Organizations Follow Loss Of Federal Grants
The National CASA/GAL Association, an organization that supports entities that provide court-appointed special advocates (CASA) and guardians ad litem (GAL) who advocate for youth in the child welfare system, has significantly reduced its services and support to the CASA/GAL network after it lost three federal grants on April 22, 2205. The grants were funded by the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).
