National Council Announces Criminal Justice Collaborative
The National Council for Behavioral Health recently announced a new collaboration with county jails aimed at helping individuals who are re-entering the community after incarceration.
The initiative will be in collaboration with the following three organizations:
Chestnut Health Systems in Bloomington, Ill.
Human Support Services in Waterloo, Ill.
Berks Counseling Center in Reading, Pa.
It is anticipated that the collaboration will reduce recidivism rates, as well as improve health outcomes for incarcerated individuals living with mental illness or addiction disorder.
