New Behavioral Health Unit Becomes First In County Affiliated With A Hospital System
The Grand Strand health system is adding a new behavioral health unit to service patients with psychiatric illness admitted to the system’s hospital. The hospital reports that more than 3,000 consumers with psychiatric needs visited the hospital’s emergency room in 2017, but had no appropriate unit to be transitioned to.
