New Directions Behavioral Health Hires Dr. Tracey Smithey As Medical Director

Dr. Tracey Smithey, MD, joined New Directions as the medical director for its Florida office. Dr. Smithey will provide medical oversight for the clinical and quality programs, which serve Florida Blue members. With more than 25 years of experience as a psychiatrist, Dr. Smithey most recently served as the behavioral health medical director for Florida Anthem/Amerigroup Medicaid. Prior to that, she was affiliated with Value Options Medicaid and Health Integrated in Tampa, which manages behavioral health benefits for several commercial and government accounts across the country.
