New Jersey DHS Awards Three Contracts For Emergency Care For People With I/DD
The New Jersey Human Services (DHS) awarded three contracts to enhance the statewide emergency services programs that support adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). The contracts were awarded to Community Options, Inc., Community Access Unlimited, and Oaks Integrated Care. They will operate emergency capacity services (ECS) programs throughout the state, and their programs must be licensed, open, and operational by June 30, 2024.
ECS programs provide residential and day programs for individuals with I/DD, including those with acute behavioral concerns, who need immediate services due to homelessness or other emergent circumstances. Individuals are referred to the ECS programs . . .
