LifeCare Hospitals Opens Pittsburgh Behavioral Health Hospital
LifeCare Health Partners have expand their Pittsburgh hospital offerings to include a new, 49-bed behavioral health hospital. This addition is a step to alleviate the area's current critical shortage of beds, which often caused emergency room visits while awaiting treatment.
Located in an existing long-term acute care facility, the property was given a $1 million renovation in 2016 to focus on patient safety and treatment. The majority of the behavioral health hospital's consumers are court-ordered commitments with a wide range of diagnosis.
LifeCare Health Partners offers specialty acute care hospital services in nine states.
