New Medicaid Director Appointed To Iowa DHS
The Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) announced that Mikki Stier has been appointed director of the Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME). In her new role effective May 27, Ms. Stier will oversee the $4.2 billion program which serves about a half of a million Iowa residents each year. She will serve as the primary architect for establishing the IME’s goals for optimal health outcomes for low-income Iowans, and for financial performance of the state-run insurance program.
