New Mexico Awarded $74 Million In Federal Funding To Expand Rural Specialty, Maternal & Behavioral Health Care
New Mexico is receiving more than $74 million through the federal Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) to improve access to health care in rural, frontier, and Tribal communities. The funding will support six Regional Hub Organizations through Healthy Horizons, an initiative within the state’s five-year RHTP strategy. The organizations will work with local provider organizations and community partners to identify needs, set priorities, and develop plans to expand access to specialty, maternal, behavioral health, chronic disease, and other services.
New Mexico’s broader RHTP strategy also includes initiatives focused on workforce development, technology and data, locally driven solutions . . .
