New Mexico Expanding Access To Medication-Assisted Treatment For Opioid Use Disorder
The New Mexico Department of Health (NMHealth) is expanding availability of addiction treatment through its public health offices. For this expansion, more than 30 public health offices in the state will offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD). Treatment will be available both in person and via telehealth.
The NMHealth Southwest Pathways Program has offered outpatient treatment for OUD at the public health office in Las Cruces since 2007.
