New York Governor Announces $60 Million In Awards To Mental Health & Addiction Provider Organizations
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on January 4 that his state will be issuing $60 million in rewards to mental health and addiction provider organizations. The funds will be awarded over the next three years, and seek to aid the state in transforming its care approach towards integrated health care.
By utilizing a value-based payment system – or a system that rewards positive health outcomes and quality of care – the funds are aimed at lowering health care costs and improving outcomes.
