New York Launches $100 Million Child Day Care Capital Construction Funding Program To Create Up To 10,000 New Slots

New York is launching a $100 million child care capital construction funding program to add between 6,000 and 10,000 new slots across the state. The program will provide funding to existing or proposed not-for-profit or municipal licensed child day care centers, registered child care programs for school-age children, and group day care programs. Eligible facilities and programs should be in an area considered to have a current shortage of regulated child care slots.
