New Youth Crisis Center Treats Children With Mental Illness In Mecklenburg County, North Carolina
A new children’s crisis center—The State Employees’ Credit Union Youth Crisis Center—recently opened in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The facility, which will be run by Monarch, offers services and treatments for children with mental illness or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The 16-bed, 24/7 inpatient facility serves children ages 6 to 17, and is the first such facility in the state that assesses children outside of standard emergency departments.
