Between November 2023 and October 2024, the North Carolina 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline saw 121,795 contact instances. Calls were answered 98.0% of the time with an average to-answer time of 14.2 seconds. A full 45.5% of contacts were from repeat 988 callers, and 6.9% of the contacts were referred to Mobile Crisis. Teens and young adults (those aged 13 to 34 years) saw the most contacts to the Lifeline.
